Question 1

Is my CV shared with anyone?

Accepted Answer

No. Your documents are stored under row-level security and used for one thing: personalising your interview. Sensitive details are masked before any AI model reads them, and nothing is ever shown to other users.

Question 2

Do I need a microphone and a camera?

Accepted Answer

A microphone, yes, because the interview is a real spoken conversation. The camera is optional, and it only powers presence tracking, with the video processed entirely in your browser.

Question 3

Can I try it before signing up?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The one minute demo runs without an account. You get the live interview and the avatar, then sign up when you want personalised questions and a full report.

Question 4

How long does a session take?

Accepted Answer

Setup takes about a minute, and a session runs 10 to 15 minutes depending on your plan. Your full report is ready roughly ten seconds after your last answer.

Question 5

Which roles can I practise for?

Accepted Answer

Any role you can paste a job description for. You choose one of seven seniority levels, from intern to principal, and which rounds to run: screening, technical, or manager.

Question 6

How is the interview scored?

Accepted Answer

Every answer is evaluated live for signal, competence, and evidence, and the difficulty adapts as you go. The final report rolls this into an overall score and a four part rubric that covers communication, confidence, technical depth, and job description alignment.

Question 7

Can AI conduct a technical interview?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The technical round is a focused deep dive. The AI interviewer probes the skills and claims in your CV, asks role specific problem solving questions, and pushes harder when your answers are strong. It brings the same pressure as a real technical panel, available on demand.

Question 8

What interview rounds can I practise: screening, technical, and manager?

Accepted Answer

All three. EvalQo runs a screening round (a recruiter style intro and motivation), a technical round (a skills and problem solving deep dive), and a manager round (leadership, ownership, and fit), across seven seniority levels from intern to principal, so you can rehearse the exact stage you have coming up.

Question 9

Is this a free AI-powered mock interview?

Accepted Answer

The one minute demo is free and needs no signup, and it shows the live AI interviewer and avatar. Full AI powered mock interviews with your CV, adaptive rounds, and a scored feedback report are included in the paid plans.

Question 10

Can EvalQo screen or shortlist CVs for recruiters?

Accepted Answer

Yes — that is Smart Hiring, our recruiter-facing side, and it is live. Post a role with the documents it needs; AI screens and ranks every CV and document against the role with traceable evidence, you shortlist the best, and only then does the AI interview unlock. A human always keeps the final decision. It runs on the same engine as candidate practice.

Question 11

How is an AI mock interview different from a real interview?

Accepted Answer

It feels like the real thing, a live voice conversation with an interviewer who has read your CV and the job description, yet it stays a safe space to practise, repeat unlimited rounds, and get honest, evidence based feedback you almost never receive from a real application.
