Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information EvalQo (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the platform, how we use it, and the choices you have. EvalQo is an AI-powered mock-interview tool: you upload documents, speak with an AI interviewer, and receive a feedback report.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your email and name, and, if you sign in with Google or LinkedIn, the basic profile details those providers share.
- Documents you upload — CV/resume, job description, and optional supporting files (cover letter, LinkedIn export, certificates, portfolio, links).
- Interview data — the audio you speak during a session, the resulting transcripts, per-answer scores, and the generated feedback reports.
- Usage data — basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use your information
We use your information solely to provide and improve the service: to personalise interview questions to your CV and target role, run the live interview, generate your feedback report, maintain your account, and keep the platform secure. We do not sell your personal data.
3. PII redaction and consent
Before any document is sent to an AI model, we scan it for personal identifiers and redact anything you have not consented to share. You control what is shared through the consent step shown during upload.
4. Third-party service providers
We rely on the following processors to run the service. Each handles data under its own terms and privacy policy:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
- Google Gemini — AI processing (document parsing, the live interview, and feedback generation).
- Simli — rendering the lip-synced AI avatar.
- Vercel and Render — hosting the application.
5. Data storage and security
Your data is protected with access controls (row-level security) and encrypted in transit. Uploaded files are kept in access-controlled storage. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
6. Data retention and deletion
We retain your data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at team@evalqo.com. We will delete it unless we are required to retain certain records by law.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact us at team@evalqo.com.
8. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Children
EvalQo is not intended for users under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
